Brief synopsis for the brave story

OK, I've to admit I'm still so not over with Hunchback of Notre Dame. Am now writing the synopsis in brief for my friends who're interested about the story. (if I do have readers.) :P

Quasimodo is a deformed, ugly, hunchback who lives in Notre Dame Cathedral(Notre Dame de Paris = Our Lady of Paris) and with the only job of ringing the cathedral bells. Everyday, he looked down at the town, longing to leave the cathedral and join the people for fun. On this special "Festival of Fools", he was so much tempted to join the carnival for fun at least for once. Persuaded and motivated by his only gargoyle friends, he went. There was this brutal ceremony of selecting the ugliest man in town to be the "Pope of Fools", Quasimodo was undoubtedly chosen. People laughed at him, threw rotten veggies at him like a freak. His Master Frollo(adopted father), being the Archdeacon of the cathedral, did not even attempt to rescue him. He was so angry about the fact that Quasimodo still went to the carnival despite him forbidding him to do so.

Esmeralda, a Gypsy girl who sings and dances as a living rescued him from the crowd, and this offended Frollo. Frollo detested her for being a Gypsy, and took this chance to prosecute her. Being Quasimodo's first human friend and his only love, Quasimodo endure alot of fear and guilt (because he was in fact defying his Master whom he was so devoted to) and rescued her. Together with him, Captain Phoebus, a young military man joined the rescue, and eventually fell in love with Esmeralda.

They went into conflict with Frollo, and they all became the deadliest group of people to be prosecuted. Frollo, in the end, revealed the fact that he was the one who killed Quasimodo's parents. The only reason he adopted him was the belief that Quasimodo'd somehow be of some use in the future. And he died, as how bad people should in any other ordinary Disney ending.

The ending was rewarding. Paris was indeed Quasimodo's. They embraced him, cheered for him and accepted him.

(In Mr. Hugo's version, Esmeralda was hanged dead, and Quasimodo crawled to her tomb, cried and died of starvation in the end. ARRRR I hate this >.< I'd rather stay in denial and happily remember the Disney ending for it. Somehow it tells me it's rewarding, probably you can't see it yet, but it indeed is, to fight for justice. Probably in this world filled with money stinks we can't assume it's always true though.)
